Half way.......we are half way through 2008!!!! How crazy is that???? I have been here 9 months now. Sometimes it seems like just yesterday and sometimes it seems like forever....kind of like a marriage:) The kids are out of school so the days seem to last FOREVER. My favorite sounds seem so distant.....the roar of the school bus and the shrieks of the kids as they pile on the bus and the squeaks of their new tennis shoes as they run/walk down the hall at school. And, of course the joyous cries of mothers everywhere as we all let out the uproarious whoop of celebration for another successful summer without going absolutely insane, disappearing into the sunset or being arrested for our moments of temporary insanity when we are quite certain it is either going to be the kids or us!!!! As you all know, Deborah has been saving my sanity and has been working on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. She is great! We have been busy getting the store organized and ready for all the great new stuff coming in. I just made my reservations for the Craft and Hobby Association Tradeshow in Chicago in July and I will be placing orders for all the new fall items and holiday items! We have just gotten in some new sports papers, some new embossing powders, an awesome new cutting toolkit, new charms, My Minds Eye lines, BoBunny Word Book Kits and lots more!

NEWS
We went to Shelbyville for the Delta Theta Tau Sorority crop and it was a tremendous success! I saw some of our customers there and was so glad you ladies could make it. The accommodations were excellent! The middle school was plenty big and they gave us lots and lots of table space to display all our goodies! We stayed at the Old Windmill B&B in Shelbyville. It is owned by a very nice couple and offers scrapbooking retreat packages. You can check them out at www.oldwindmillbedandbreakfast.com.
I spoke to the families of Hospice patients about preserving their loved ones memories. In honor of those loved ones, I will be accepting donations of ANY scrapbooking supplies, new or used, here at Scrap-A-Holic, for the Hospice Program. Marlene, at Wishful Thinking in Nashville will also be accepting donations for Hospice. You should stop by and check out her selection of rubber stamps if you are over that way! Anyway, The families of these patients truly appreciate any and all items you are willing to donate!
Please check out my new page of the website. I have attached pictures of my sanity keepers and some very special customers enjoying some of our classes. I will keep adding pictures as I take them!
CROP-A-DOODLE-DO I have booked Crop-A-Doodle-Do for Scrap-A-Holic customers for the last weekend in MARCH 2009!!! I have 9 spots still open. The stay is a two night stay and is only $299! That includes all your food and beverages! You provide your own alcoholic beverages. I stayed here last year ladies and it is heavenly! Sadly, our weekend will be their last weekend in business so we get to celebrate their long running success with an awesome probably tearful goodbye weekend. I know I for one will be sad!!! The owners lives are changing some and they are ready to face other challenges so they decided it was time to try other ventures. Just call the store or stop by to find out how to reserve your spot! You can check them out at www.crop-a-doodle-do.com
I have signed up with a company called Homemade Gourmet to sell their food products and they are wonderful! They go hand-in-hand with scrapbooking because they are a HUGE time-saver and they are soooooo easy! I will have samples in the store for you to try and I have catalogues and product for you all to check out. In the mean time, you can go to http://www.homemadegourmet.com/ to check out the online catalogue and/or place an order. Please call me if you have any questions or if you want to see any of the items. I would be glad to show you any of them. They have some great seasonings and they call them 4 Meals in 4 Minutes. I can make them right here in the store for you to take home if you want to see how it works!
