Well, we survived the history-making flood of 2008!!! Luckily the store did not get any water in it. The parking lot was flooded and had the water risen only two more inches it would have been up and over the sidewalks!!! Fortunately, my family was not affected by the flood either. We have definitely been in the Lords hands the last few months! I know many of my customers are struggling to get through their lost belongings and try to just get back to their everyday lives and my heart goes out to them. Please know you all are in my thoughts and prayers! On a lighter note, Bill and I are leaving Thursday, July 17th for Chicago to attend the 2008 Summer Craft and Hobby Association Tradeshow. I am very excited!!! I will get to see all the new stuff coming out for the holidays!!! Make sure you read the news section, we have lots of news to share this month!!!

NEWS
Let's start the news section with the biggest news so far; the flood. My heart goes out to all of you who lost so much in the flood last month. I know many of you lost all of your belongings but I know that I speak for many of you when I say your memories are the worst. Your pictures, scrapbooks, albums, scrapbooking supplies, etc. Those are all things that either can't be replaced or will be costly to replace and unfortunately insurance companies just don't put much of a replacement value on those items. With that in mind, Scrap-a-Holic would like to help as much as we can. We will offer all the flood victims a 25% discount on all your purchases from now through the end of the year. Just let Deborah, Brenda or I know when we check you out and we will make sure you get your discount. Also, Wishful Thinking is having their annual Used Stamp and Craft Sale and they will be accepting donations of scrapbooking items to go to flood victims. You can check out their website at www.wishfulthinking-in.com . You can also contact Marlene and her staff at 812-988-7009. If you have any items you would like to donate you can bring them here to Scrap-A-Holic and I will make sure they get to Marlene.
Hospice--I am still accepting donations of ANY scrapbooking supplies, new or used, here at Scrap-A-Holic, for the Hospice Program. Marlene, at Wishful Thinking in Nashville will also be accepting donations for Hospice. You should stop by and check out her selection of rubber stamps if you are over that way! Anyway, The families of these patients truly appreciate any and all items you are willing to donate!
Magnolia Stamps are here!!!! For those of you who haven't seen these adorable stamps you are in for a treat! They come from Sweden and are as sweet as can be! These are two cards I have done with them so far. I carry several of the stamps and will continue to add to the selection. Come by and check them out!

Please check out my new page of the website. I have attached pictures of my sanity keepers and some very special customers enjoying some of our classes. I will keep adding pictures as I take them!
CROP-A-DOODLE-DO I have booked Crop-A-Doodle-Do for Scrap-A-Holic customers for the last weekend in MARCH 2009!!! I only have 5 spots still open. The stay is a two night stay and is only $299! That includes all your food and beverages! You provide your own alcoholic beverages. I stayed here last year ladies and it is heavenly! Sadly, our weekend will be their last weekend in business so we get to celebrate their long running success with an awesome probably tearful goodbye weekend. I know I for one will be sad!!! The owners lives are changing some and they are ready to face other challenges so they decided it was time to try other ventures. Just call the store or stop by to find out how to reserve your spot! You can check them out at www.crop-a-doodle-do.com
I have signed up with a company called Homemade Gourmet to sell their food products and they are wonderful! They go hand-in-hand with scrapbooking because they are a HUGE time-saver and they are soooooo easy! I will have samples in the store for you to try and I have catalogues and product for you all to check out. In the mean time, you can go to http://www.homemadegourmet.com/ to check out the online catalogue and/or place an order. Please call me if you have any questions or if you want to see any of the items. I would be glad to show you any of them. They have some great seasonings and they call them 4 Meals in 4 Minutes. I can make them right here in the store for you to take home if you want to see how it works!
New Incentives!!!!
Starting this month you will receive a free class for every 5 classes or crops you attend!!!!!
Starting August 5th for every $25 you spend your name and phone number will be entered into that weeks drawing. That Saturday we will draw a name and the winner will be entitled to 10% a purchase made the following week. Then their name goes into a drawing with the names of the other weekly winners for that month. At the end of the month, a name will be drawn and that winner will be entitled to 25% off a purchase made the following month. Then, the monthly winners go into a drawing and one of them will win 50% off a purchase!!!!! It sounds more confusing than it actually is. The best part is, you don't have to keep track of anything. We do all of that for you!
